(Wondering how to vote on North Carolina’s constitutional amendment to
ban same-sex marriage and restrict civil unions, I came up with a list
of things that threaten NC families more than gay marriage. It helped me make up my mind, so I share it.)
Jed, I agree of course. But all joking apart, the proposed amendment itself threatens families more than gay marriage, including heterosexual couples. It goes beyond gay marriage towards potentially denying civil unions and unmarried couples all protection. So the amendment should be added to your list.

Considering that there are no moose in the state of North Carolina, it seems to me that gay marriage must be pretty non-threatening to NC families.
